Yes you gain 20pips for a 40 pips risk. So, worst case, maximal effective trade is 20 in a month, winrate 50% is (10daysx20pips)-(10daysx40pips)=-200pips. Using always 10% of initail monthly margins you lost 20% margin for -200pips. If you don't want to lost 20% of your margin, then try to lower risk by using 1% until 5%.
